The Chartered Engineer (Singapore) programme was first rolled out in the branches of engineering in Aerospace, Chemical/Process, Environmental, Marine and Systems engineering. In support of this programme, 11 industry leaders of engineering organisations endorsed the setting up of the Chartered Engineer (Singapore) Register at the World Engineers Summit (WES) 2013 Opening Ceremony in the presence of hundreds of local and international engineers. These industry leaders are from:
- Defence Science and Technology Agency (DSTA);
- Keppel Offshore & Marine Technology Centre (Deepwater);
- Land Transport Authority (LTA);
- National Environment Agency (NEA);
- Public Utilities Board (PUB);
- Rolls-Royce Singapore Pte Ltd;
- Sembcorp Industries;
- SIA Engineering Company;
- Singapore Chemical Industry Council (SCIC);
- ST Aerospace; and
- ST Marine.
